Magician - Now

Well, it’s June, 2009 and as you have probably read in my Bio in 2002 Gigi and I were a part of some magic history, having the honour of closing the last NYCAN convention in Syracuse and did our final performance as a duo. The following year I was asked by Curt Higgins to close Magic Fest in Rochester and I did a single act. Magic has been very good to me and I have been blessed with a talent. I felt it was time to hang up the magic wand and have been slowly disposing of my magic repertoire and there have been some great deals at the auctions at various conventions.
I somehow feel like Frank Sinatra who has said, “This is my last performance”, but keeps on returning for another. I have been called back to do stage and close-up and look at it this way. There must be something I am giving that they like, so, why not give them what they want. As long as my health keeps up I will continue to go but at a slower pace. I guess a magician is like a school teacher, once a teacher always a teacher and once a magician, always a magician.
With the experience and knowledge I have attained in the world of entertainment over the many years, it pleases me when I can offer assistance to other magicians, especially the new kids on the block.
I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and there is a reason why I am still going.

On May 1, 2011 Gigi and I found ourselves in Batavia, NY sharing the MAWNY stage with International performers from France, Japan England and the USA. It was an honour to represent Canada. It was also a challenge considering I was taking Chemo for a rare type of cancer. The bottom line is, "It all went well", better than I expected.
