It is the silkworm, a species of caterpillar or moth, which produces that most noble of textile fibres - - silk.
My two most essential attributes as a silk artist are having drawing skills and having a sense of colour. Patience, imagination and diligence also play a big part in this art form. Inspiration for design in my silk work is drawn from the world around me.
Each silk product I create, produces luminous colours and these products lead on to magical results.
All my silk scarves are hand painted on 100% pure silk and not silk-screened.
It is important to understand that a hand painted silk can never reproduce an exact replica of any illustration. Silk is a natural fibre and much like wool, varies in weight and texture
In view of the fact that each scarf I do is different and meets the needs of the individual, so too is the price. However, you will find that the price you pay for an item hand painted to your satisfaction is not that much more than a silk-screened scarf.
My silk work is exclusive because it is not limited in choice and colours of silk(s). It is hand painted to your requirements.
